For current 2010 Runnin’ for Rhett members - the cost is $65 for the 10-week training. If you aren’t a current Runnin’ for Rhett member - the cost is $90. The training fee DOES NOT include race entry.

The fall training will once again be led by Rachelle Hightower of High Five Team Training. Rachelle is not only a certified personal trainer, with additional certifications from from USAT, Heart Zones and UC Davis. Most importantly, Rachelle was the person that convinced Beth to get off the couch and run that first Shamrock’n Half Marathon back in March of 2005.
Here’s what you receive when training with Runnin’ for Rhett in the fall twice a week group training sessions
Saturday morning (8 a.m.) bike trail training location
Training will be held on the American River Bike Trail at the end of Northrop, near Howe Ave.
Tuesday evening (6:00 p.m.) training will be held at:
McKinley Park - meeting in front of the library at Alhambra Blvd & F St. This is a runner and run/walk training location. McKinley is a great location and conducive to both running and walk training.
Wednesday evening (6:30 pm) training will be held at:
Cosumnes Oaks High School - 8350 Lotz Pkwy, Elk Grove - the group will meet at the all weather highschool track. This a great runner and run/walk training location.
Coaching at ALL group workouts
There will be an trained Runnin’ for Rhett coach at each training location
Pacing Groups
For your convenience, Runnin’ for Rhett will again provide pacing group leaders for runners, run/walkers and walkers. Whatever your pace, an experience 8 min pace to our first time walkers at 16:30 min pace - there will be a pace group & leader for the pace that you desire. These pace group leaders will be your guides to successfully finishing the race.
Training schedules
These schedules are your recipe for success. The schedules include a day-by-day activity that you will follow. Once completed, you will be prepared to complete your 1/2 marathon.
Team Runnin’ for Rhett technical training shirt
If you are register as a new Runnin’ for Rhett member - you will receive a baby-blue technical running shirt.
Team Runnin’ for Rhett rubberband bracelet
Each training participant will receive a baby-blue rubber band type bracelet to wear
Weekly informational e-mail updates
All training participants will receive weekly training email updates with valuable training tips
Race Day Team Runnin’ for Rhett meeting location
Runnin’ for Rhett will have a Runnin’ for Rhett team tent and rest area at the Urban Cow event. Use the tent area to leave your personal items and prepare and recover from the race.
